Jeffery "Jeff" William Johns, Sr., 66, passed away on August 9, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Jeff was born in Marion on May 3, 1959 to Alex F. Johns Sr. and Maude Elizabeth Jackson. His parents preceded him in death.

He married Lora Jo (Kreischer) Johns on April 15, 1989 at Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Hartford City. She passed away on May 8, 2015.

Jeff retired from U.S. X-Press of Chattanooga, TN, where he was a truck driver.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Barbie M. (husband, Brian) McClain of Pointiana, FL, Jeffrey W. Johns Jr. of Sherman, TX, Amy M. (husband, Scott) Minnich of Bluffton, Dawn Lee (wife, Dominique) Johns of Poneto, Bridget F. Hall (companion, Jacob Devine) of Hartford City, Lyn Ann (husband, Jeremy) Marcum of Hartford City and Johnathon R. (wife, Dorenda) Huffman of Hartford City; 24 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alex F. (wife, Connie) Johns Jr. of Upland, Marlene (companion, Jimbo) Turney of Clermont, FL, Debbie (husband, Ralph) Caffey of Dunkirk, Jennifer Davis of Dayton, OH and Nikki (husband, Gilbert) Lee of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

Jeff will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held on September 13, 2025 from 1pm-4pm at the Girl Scout House in Hartford City.

Keplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice.
