Jeffrey Jordan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pruitt Funeral Home - Royston on Dec. 18, 2025.
Jeffrey Colvard Jordan, 70, of Royston, GA, passed away on December 17, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Born on November 16, 1955, in Marietta, Georgia, Jeff was the son of the late Lewis and Camilla Jordan.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Lewis Jordan & Camilla Townsend Jordan and his grandparents William L. & Ruby (Wellborn) Jordan, Julian & Jewel (Colvard) Mewborn, and Ottis Townsend.

A 1974 graduate of Osborne High School, Jeff moved shortly after graduation to Royston-the town where his parents were born and raised. He was a man of many talents, working as a pharmacy technician and in manufacturing before spending many years performing van conversions alongside his cousins. A gifted mechanic, Jeff had a lifelong affinity for Mopar engines and a passion for craftsmanship. Beyond his technical skills, he had a servant's heart, and spent years providing compassionate care for elderly relatives in their final months. In his younger years, he found great joy in fishing trips to the coast.

Jeff is survived by his brother, David (Austina) Jordan, Royston, GA; his nephew, Zachary (Whitney) Jordan of Royston; and his nieces, Sarah Jordan, Stone Mountain, GA and Lisa (Tillman) Allen, Anderson, SC. He is also survived by his uncle and aunt, Wayne and Melinda Mewborn, Franklin Springs, GA; cousins Dale Jordan, Mike Jordan, Charles Heaton, Carol Warhola, Matthew Mewborn, Ryan Mewborn, and Justin Mewborn; his special friend, Donna Goss; and his loyal black lab, Pepper.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the medical staff at Piedmont Athens and St. Mary's Athens for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Jeff during his final weeks.

Memorial services for Mr. Jordan will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Royston First United Methodist Church officiated by retired Chaplain Lt. Col. Fred S. McFarland.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
