Nancy Dillard, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on March 9, 1948, in Johnson City, TN.
In her youth, Nancy appeared on the Freddy Miller Show where her talents in voice and tap were seen by many. Beyond that stage; her star shone brightly in many beauty pageants, where she captured the hearts of all as a beauty queen. She would later be crowned as Homecoming Queen at Osborne High School where she also excelled as a majorette and as a member of the band.
Nancy was a cherished member of the Corvette Club, where she shared her love for the iconic car with fellow enthusiasts. One of her favorite places to visit was the beach.
For 30 years, Nancy devoted herself to her work at Western Electric, from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, reliability, and warm friendships. Her retirement was filled with the same zest for fun and adventure that characterized her youth, always filled with giggles and an eagerness to pull a harmless prank, much to the delight of her family and friends.
A fun-loving spirit, Nancy's greatest joy was her family. Her wish was to be laid to rest beside her beloved baby girl, April. Nancy's son Clint, honoring the bond between mother and sister, ensures this wish is fulfilled.
Nancy's unwavering positivity and her ability to bring a smile to the faces of those around her will be profoundly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Philip Emile Adelsheimer, Jr. and Helen C. Adelsheimer; sisters, Patty L Adelsheimer and Mary A. Thompson; daughter April Katherine Dillard; nephew, Philip E. Adelsheimer, IV.
Nancy is survived by her son, Clint T. and Erin Dillard; grandchildren, Riley K. Dillard and Layton T. Dillard; brother, Philip E. and Arlene Adelsheimer, III; brother-in-law, Larry B. Thompson; nieces, Amy Thompson, Morgan L and Jacob Sartain, Jennifer L. and Dr. Joseph Lancaster; nephew, Josh B. and Katie Thompson; great-nieces, Kay K. Rowe and Ella R. Rowe, Nia H. Thompson, Harper Grace Sartain, Helen Collett Sartain, Kylie Lake Lancaster and Avery Marie Lancaster; great-nephews, Oliver B. Thompson, Jewell Percy Sartain, II and Reed Jay Lancaster; as well as many loving cousins and friends.
