Obituary
Jeffrey Lynn Kennedy, age 54 of Macclenny passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at his home. A lifelong resident of Baker County, Jeffrey was born to the late Mr. Grady and Margie (Bass) Kennedy on September 2, 1968, one of six children. He would play baseball and football during his youth and was a member of the Baker County Wildcat basketball team. He would work for several years as a crane operator for Whitley Steel.
Jeffrey was the epitome of a family man. He loved his kids and adored his grandbabies. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and great words of advice. He was one of the best fishermen around and had a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as two siblings: Joey "Too Tall" Kennedy and Barbara Davis.
He leaves behind to cherish the memories, his children: Wesley Kennedy of St. Augustine, Lyndsey Kennedy and Kelsey (Duncan) Kennedy both of Jacksonville, and Amanda (Jeremiah) Kennedy of Sanderson; grandchildren: Alanna Kennedy, Juniper McClellan, Amiah Cooks, Grady Chenoweth, Kennedy Chenoweth, and Julius Cooks; ex-wife and close companion: Marie Todd Vinson; brothers: Larry Kennedy of Macclenny, Steve Kennedy of Cuyler, and John (Audrey) Kennedy of Sanderson; as well as extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 13, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Macclenny at 3:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 PM until the time of service. Final memorialization will be by cremation and he will be laid to rest at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
