Larry Ralph Sigers, 81, a lifelong resident of Baker County, passed from this life into eternal rest on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Born on January 25, 1944, he was one of three sons born to Mr. Ralph C. and Susie Crews Sigers. He resided in Baker County for the entirety of his life. He worked for the Florida Road Department as a civil engineer for several years. After that, he began a career as a “professional piddler”. Larry was a cattleman at heart and enjoyed everything that came along with farming. He loved raising cattle and chickens, growing tomatoes, corn, and other vegetables. He loved working on his land alongside his wife, each having their own tractors for their respective projects around the home place.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed a good Hardees breakfast. Very rarely would you ever see Mr. Sigers without his signature cowboy hat and boots. He also enjoyed spending time at their camp feeding and watching wildlife.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joyce Sigers of Glen St. Mary; children, Ryba (John) Sigers Whitehead, Colby Sigers, and Landen Sigers all of Macclenny, and Wendell (Laura) Sigers of Satsuma; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Matt) Lynn, Clint Sigers Waters, Casey Sigers, Kaitlyn Sigers, Casen Noles, Houston Noles, Kaden Sigers, and Raeden Sigers; a host of great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tommy Sigers and David Sigers; and a son, David Daniel SIgers.
Funeral services to celebrate Mr. Larry’s life will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at Mt. Zion Church at 1:00 PM with Pastor Shane Conner officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Macedonia cemetery.
The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sigers family during their time of loss.
