Jeffrey Spence Kieffer

A Funeral Mass for Jeffrey "Jeff" Kieffer, 62, of Lexington, will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 20, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington, Texas with Father Andrew Dinh officiating. Before the Mass there will be a rosary recited at 9:30 AM at the church.
Jeffrey Spence Kieffer was born September 6, 1962, in Hidalgo County, Edinburg, Texas. Jeff was the son of Louie & Wilma "Spence" Kieffer. He was happily married to Velma Louise Kieffer on February 16, 1988 in Edinburg and they were blessed with a son Michael.
Jeff is survived by his son Michael Kieffer of Alvin, TX and Michael's fiancé Krystal Vela, one grandson Jayden Kieffer and one granddaughter Zaley Vela; brother Mike & Patti Kieffer of Sanford, North Carolina; sisters, Kim Orr and husband Bruce of Ft. Worth, Angie Hoke of Edinburg, and Becky Connolly and husband Gene of College Station; aunt Margret Hesler and husband Richard of Illinois; sister-in-law, Patti Kieffer of Rogers as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jeff was proceeded in death by his parents Louie and Wilma Kieffer, his wife Velma Kieffer; and brother Greg Kieffer.
Jeff passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon September 12, 2024.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Edinburg, Texas. Jeff graduated from Edinburg High School then went to college to become a mechanic. He worked hard most of his life and enjoyed his work as a mechanic as well as a shop foreman at J & P Services in Giddings. Jeff was very active in the community including Holy Family Catholic Church and Holy Rosary ACTS. At Holy Family Catholic Church, he actively participated in the choir, Fall Festival and their chicken dinner fundraisers. He was a little league coach for numerous years. Jeff was always assisting people with their projects and vehicle repairs. He loved working on race cars, watching NASCAR, fishing, and playing his base guitar at church and with a band as well. Most of all he loved just spending time with his family and friends.
