Jeff Larson of Osakis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2023.
Jeffrey Allan Larson was born to Gayle Morris Larson and Gayle Theresa Larson of Minneapolis, Minnesota on September 30, 1951. He attended school in Minneapolis and after high school he was united in marriage to Deborah Ringstrom. Together they had two children: daughter, Lisa, born December 7, 1974 and son, Ryan, born June 17, 1977. Jeff worked for years at Clinchon Corners in Minneapolis until the family relocated to Osakis, Minnesota in 1986 where they purchased a home on the north end of the lake.
Jeff worked for Rollie’s Sales and Service in Osakis until 1993 when he began his own business known as Allied Petroleum. He continued to operate the business until his retirement in 2012.
In 2000, Jeff married Shanda Kapaun and they remained at the home on Lake Osakis until his death.
Jeff loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children, step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be truly and deeply missed for his kindness and his quiet humor. If you were blessed to have Jeff for a friend in his lifetime you should know that he genuinely valued having you in his life.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Shanda, daughter, Lisa (Derek) West of Ramsey; son, Ryan (Joy) Larson of Osakis; step-daughter, Carey (Joe) Hiebel of Nelson; step-son, Joshua (Mandy) Kapaun of Osakis; grandchildren: Breanna Larson, Gage Larson, Taylor Larson, Thomas West, Maya West, Jacey Larson, Austin West and Everette West; step-grandchildren: Makayla Radtke, Jaidah Kapaun, Garek Radtke, Madelyn Kapaun, Eithen Hiebel, Josiah Kapaun and Maddux Kapaun; five great grandchildren, sister, Kathy Larson of Circle Pines, sister, Judy Baggenstoss of Blaine; and niece, Toni Baggenstoss.
A Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, 2:00 PM at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home with a visitation to follow from 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
