Jeffrey Montgomery Long Sr.

Jeffrey Long, Sr., 69, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. He previously resided in Havertown, PA, and most recently lived in West Chester. He was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and Marietta College. He was a loving father of 2 boys and husband to Violet Long. Jeff was an avid fisherman and hunter, loved camping in the white mountains and spending time with his dogs. He had a love for music; played the trumpet and enjoyed listening to the blues. He worked as an electrician for most of his life, running his own company. Later in life he worked for Lithonia and Watt Stopper installing lighting controls.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 42 years Violet Long.
He is survived by his loving children Jeff Long (Coleen) and John Long (Grace); his brothers Paul Long and Joseph Long; sister Beth Long; 6 grandchildren; and his 2 black labs Barton and Westy.
Memorial service 11am Friday at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015 with a visitation starting at 10am. Burial private. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Brookline Lab Rescue (www.brooklinelabrescue.org)
