Jeffrey Wayne Maynard, 65, of Mooresville, NC, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, with his dear friend and roommate, Janet, by his side. Born on December 13, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to William "Bill" and Margaret "Margie" Gray Maynard, Jeff lived a life filled with warmth, connection, and passion.

Jeff relocated from Michigan to Mooresville in 2016, where he quickly fell in love with the town and its people. Known for his vibrant personality, he forged many friendships while driving for Uber and engaging in his love of buying and selling. Jeff's yard sales and stunning roses were a hallmark of his presence in the community. An avid lover of dogs, flowers, and football, he brought joy to those around him with his enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Maynard, and his cherished Akitas, Beau and Boss. He is survived by his roommate and best friend, Janet Fields of Mooresville; his former wife, Teri Maynard of Indiana; his daughter, Amanda "Mandy" Kopp and her two children of Texas; his mother, Margie Maynard of Indiana; his sisters, Gigi Parido and Diana Hook, both of Indiana; his brother, Steve Maynard of Indiana; close friends, Julie Memrick of Mooresville and Ed Price of Winston-Salem; and his beloved Shih Tzu, Ryder.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to neighbors Julie and Jinny for their unwavering support during this challenging time, as well as to Amber and Dorie of Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County for their compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

My cousin Jeff. I missed so much over the last years. All the highs and many lows but I hold dear the fond memories we shared. From the Silver Streaks Rock band we were going to form as kids to the R.E.O. Speedwagon concert as teenagers and the bee attack you encountered on our camping trip as adults.

Remember, I´ll always be a day before a month older than you but you´ll always be remembered by me. Rest well...

Your cousin Kim
