Manley Maynard, Jr. 90, of Fairdale went to be with his Lord on Tuesday October 14, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church and a retired employee with Advanced Distribution Services. Manley loved to play golf and dominoes, he was loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alvetta Maynard; daughters, Julie Garcia and Shelly Teachout; parents, Elsie and Manley Maynard, Sr. ; sisters, Sara Lucas, Emmaline Marshall and Anne Lou Manns; brothers, Ezra, Calvin, Jake, Owen and Dennis Maynard.
He is survived by his sons, Timmy Maynard (Sandy) and Joe Maynard (Cathy) ; sister, Shirley Manns ; brothers, Edward Maynard, Jimmy Maynard (Bobbie), Billy Joe Maynard (Freddie) and Dave Maynard (Pat) ; grandchildren, Michael Garcia, Jr., Stephen Garcia (Hannah), Corbin Maynard (April), Jordan Ferrell (Josh), Tiffany Chaplin (Don), Jaime Wojtowicz (Frank), Mark Stapleton (Marie) and Chad Stapleton (Hatti) ; many great grandchildren ; son-in-law, Michael Garcia, Sr..
His funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 18, 2025 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday prior to the service.
