JEFFREY LOUIS NAULT
May 3, 1955 - April 5, 2024
On Friday, April 5, 2024 in the late afternoon, Jeff passed away from Cardiac Arrest at his lake home in Stover, MO, at the age of 68 years old.
Jeff was born on May 3, 1955 in Ft. Worth, TX to his late parents, Louis Joseph and Dorothy Mae (Rogers) Nault.
Before a school age, the family moved to South Kansas City, MO. He completed his education living in the same family home in 1973 at Ruskin High School. He furthered his education by completing a Managerial course with JJ Keller, School of Management in 1991. Jeff started his working career while in high school working several odd jobs; gas station, car wash, a motel and Avon Distribution Center where he met lifelong friends that he carried relationships with until the day he passed. In his 20's Jeff started driving a truck hauling hazardous materials for ChemCentral. Later, moving on to Operations Manager with the same company until he retired after 24+ years. During his time at ChemCentral he worked a part-time job bartending at a Bowling Alley. He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in Laurie, MO and became a Sales Representative for Jim Smith Sales an Orthotics and Prosthetics company. Later, his wife, Susan was hired on and they took many business trips together (he said she was his personal secretary). From there he moved to Moraine, OH, a suburb of Dayton, and took a position with OrPro as the Operations Manager for a fabrication center of Orthotics and Prosthetics. He was on the Board of Directors (the only one that was not a Doctor) at the nearby hospital during his tenure with OrPro. Moving on to Wentzville, MO he worked for Omega Steel in IL for a short while before moving back to Lee's Summit, MO. He started a job at Public Storage for a while before working again with Susan, at Talco Direct as a Machine Operator, then Warehouse Manager. From there he moved to Harrisonville, MO and worked as a Forklift driver and Shipping Technician for Church & Dwight, aka Arm and Hammer before his final retirement. He made many friendships along the way in his very full working career.
Jeff loved giving advice to anyone that was interested in listening or in need. In his younger years he was an avid hunter with his older brother, Mike Nault. They also enjoyed fishing together with their younger brother, Mark Nault. Realistically, I think they enjoyed the beer more. Jeff was a proud member of the NRA. Jeff had a great love of the outdoors and the Lake of the Ozarks. Jeff loved history and researched everywhere he lived and could tell you everything there was to know about it. Jeff played the drums in a band during high school. He nailed his drum solo, "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" and they won the Battle of the Bands at Truman Corners Shopping Center. He started playing again when he lived in Laurie, MO in different bars with Kennie Dee. Jeff also enjoyed bowling, playing billiards and listening to different Bands at the Lake of the Ozarks area bars. He had immense joy watching his kids and grandkids enjoying their time at the lakehouse, fishing, swimming, boating, tubing, wave runner rides and just spending family time together. Jeff's greatest joy was being at his lakehouse with his 2 dogs, Chase and Buddy, sitting on the deck, looking out over the lake, and taking in all the beautiful sights of nature. He loved his Venture Valley family.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Susan Wilson-Nault of 20+ years. His 7 children of his blended family, Mandy and Jason Huie, Danny and Michelle Richardson-Nault, Justin and Lindsay Nault, Christina and John Murkin, Anthony and Mariah Cross, Jeremy and Katie Ziegler-Dull, Angela Brunner and Ernie Farrior. He was "Poppy" to 18 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. His 2 brothers, Mike and Mark Nault and their spouses, his sister, Lisa Gross and Susan's brother, Bob Wilson and his spouse and Susan's sister, Pattie Hurley. He had many nieces, nephews and cousins that loved him dearly, along with a trove of very close personal friends. Jeff will be greatly missed by everyone he ever met.
A "Celebration of Life" will be on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Hurricane Allie's Bar & Grill, 5541 Merriam Dr., Shawnee, KS come by anytime from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and share your memories with his family.
