Jeffrey Michael Nixon, age 28, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was a very caring and gentle young man who left us much too soon.
Jeffrey was born in Midland on May 12, 1994. He graduated from Freeland High School in 2013 and enjoyed taking agriculture classes at the Bay Arenac Skill Center. Although quiet by nature, Jeffrey had a great sense of humor and a warm smile. He was a kind-hearted friend to all who knew him and always looked out for and helped others who were in need in this world.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving parents, John and Melissa (Bishop) Nixon; his devoted siblings, sister, Lauren Nixon of Essexville; brother, Andrew Nixon of Bay City; a grandmother, Joanne Nixon of Bay City; many aunts and uncles, Kevin and Judy Nixon of Venice, FL, Hugh and Margaret Nixon of Bay City, Chris and Shawn Nixon of Farmington, CT, Alison and Mark Pruntel of Flint Hill, VA, Bryan and Amy Bishop of Bay City, Mark Bishop of Traverse City, and Matthew and Tammy Bishop of Indian River, MI; many special cousins, Erin, Ashlyn, Sara (Dom), Margot, Maura, Katherine, Jane, Caroline, Christopher, Anika, Alysha, Madison, Hunter, Colin, Aidan and Sinead; and numerous dear friends, all of whom will forever cherish their time with Jeffrey. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Arthur Nixon, and Garry and Sharon Bishop; an uncle, Michael Nixon; and aunt and uncle, Margaret Nixon Schafer and Lynn Schafer.
Cremation has taken place and a private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. Jeffrey's family asks that in lieu of contributions, please do a kind deed or act of kindness for someone in need. Funeral home arrangements are being provided by the Trahan Funeral Chapel. Dear Family,
As his teacher at the Career Center I had the pleasure of having Jeff in class. Jeff was smart, kind, caring and dedicated. He was a friend to everyone and always was willing to help on any project needed. I´m so sad, but I know his quiet quirky grin will live on in the hearts of all who crossed his path. Cathy LaLonde

I miss him so much. He was my only friend when I moved to a new High School. Truly the most genuine person I had ever met.

Hello, My son and your son have been friends for quite some time now. I had met your son at my home a few times and found him to be a kind sort. Consistent with the other opinions I have heard about him. Our sons have been out of touch for a number of months now but my son called me and was broken hearted by the news of his sweet friends death. I am praying for him and for all of his family. PLease know there are folks who really loved your son and who wish he were still with us. God bless you all.
