Presque Isle - Jeffrey Carl Sock, 45, of Ellsworth, Maine, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Born on March 29, 1980, in Caribou, Maine, Jeffrey was the son of the late Rose Sock and Jeffrey Zernicke. Proud of his heritage, he was a member of the Mi'kmaq Nation and the Passamaquoddy Tribe.

Throughout his life, Jeff worked in various trades and most recently was employed by Williams Irrigation Systems in Ellsworth. He attended Northern Maine Community College (NMCC), where he earned a place on the Dean's List.

Above all, Jeff was a devoted father. He is survived by his beloved children, Nevaeh McQuarrie and her fiancé, Wyatt, and Dominic Sock. He is also survived by his sisters: Jennifer Sock and her daughter, Miah; Stephanie Roberts and her children, Kaylee, Lexi, and Knoxton; and Crystal Tracy. His brothers include Jeremiah Sock and his partner Stephanie Bennett, with their children Julian and Jordan; Glendon Zernicke; Josh Gagnon; Jacob Zernicke; and Adam Green.

Jeffrey is also survived by his grandfather, Kenneth Zernicke Sr., along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was predeceased by his uncle, Kenneth Zernicke of Caribou; his grandmother, Elizabeth Zernicke of Presque Isle; and his maternal grandparents, Mary and Newel.

Jeff will always be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. A devoted Patriots fan, he rarely missed a game. His children were his pride and joy, and his love for them will forever be his lasting legacy.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Spruce Haven, 214 Doyle Road, Caribou, Maine.
