Jeffrey Strauer Obituary

Jeffrey Dale Strauer, age 54, of Sherman Township passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 1, 2026 with his loving family by his side.
Jeff was born on Feb. 24, 1971 in Genesee County to Dale and the late OnaLee Strauer. Jeff was the youngest of seven kids.
Jeff married the love of his life, Samantha Archambeau on Sept. 14, 2013 in an amazing outdoor wedding that some still talk about today.
Jeff was an avid lover of racing, mechanics and anything automotive. When he first started racing, he would race downstate but eventually his home track was the Whittemore Speedway. He raced numerous classes and always loved every minute. Jeff was a past president of the Whittemore Speedway.
He loved to be active in any community activity he could. He was a past president of the Sand Lake Men's Association and helped plan and run numerous Sand Lake Festivals. Jeff would always offer to help anyone he could, and there was nothing he couldn't fix!
With his wife Samantha, Jeff successfully owned and operated SJS Water Hauling, providing water to many. He always called himself the "waterboy."
Jeff and Samantha opened their home for foster care seven years ago, where they were able to adopt the biggest joys of his life, Jesus and Kimmy.
Jeff is survived by the love of his life Samantha; children, Jesus and Kimmy and two foster children he adored. Jeff is also survived by his father, Dale Strauer; brothers, Fred (Juli) Strauer, Gerry (Ahunani) Kindell and Rip Kindall; sisters, Connie (Chuck) Merservy and Tari (John) Saunders; two aunts, Elaine Howell and Carol (Don) Kutcher; mother-in-law, Pauline (Ron) Jordan and father-in-law, Kenneth (Sally) Archambeau; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, OnaLee; both maternal and paternal grandparents; and one brother, Dale Henry Strauer.
Jeff was a beloved father, husband, son, brother and uncle. Although he was taken from us far to soon, we are assured he is no longer suffering and at peace. As per Jeff's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place this summer.
