Jeffrey Ensley Styles, 64, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Jeffery was born on February 16, 1959, in Portland Cottage, Jamaica to Navlet Reid and Renford Styles.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia and his children; Tamara, Damian, Yul, Mandisa, Alaphia, Shakir, and bonus daughters Stacha and Shavasha; his grandchildren, Cori, Jevoni, Sapphire, Amirah, Robyn, A'miah, Yalana, Layla, Lloyd, Lydia and Dhilan. He is also survived by his mother, Navlet; his siblings, Livingston, Errol, Barbara, Dexter, Denise, Rohan, Loy, Sherian, George, Jermaine, Howard, Paul, Lisa, and Janice; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma and his father, Renford.
Jeffrey attended Portland Cottage Primary School and Vere Technical High School in Clarendon, Jamaica. Jeff, as he was affectionately known, would spend summers with his paternal grandparents at Monymusk. His father came from a family of tall, athletic people so it was no wonder that he grew to be 6'4" and was accepted into the Jamaican army in December 1978. In the army, Jeffrey stood out amongst his peers. He was later selected to migrate to New York for advanced training and resided there for many years after.
Jeffrey was a hard worker and went on to start his own business which operated successfully for several years. In 2006, he relocated to Port Saint Lucie, Fl. Jeffrey worked for Bev Smith Toyota since 2012. He loved networking and building connections with customers as well as his coworkers. Jeffrey was known throughout the Bev Smith community as someone that went above and beyond to help anyone in any situation. He received many accolades and awards such as being in PROS Status for 9 years.
Jeffrey loved fishing, gardening, and soccer. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of All Nations Life Development Christian Center. Jeffrey loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will sorely be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8th at 10:30 at Bells Funeral Home. Please contact the family for details.
