Libby Diane De Luca-Miniaci passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 78 years old. Born in Evansville, Indiana, on June 22, 1947, Libby lived a vibrant and full life rooted in family, creativity, and joy.
In the 1970s, Libby began her professional journey as a fashion buyer for department stores in Boston, Atlanta, and Miami-an era that reflected her impeccable style and love for culture. She later devoted herself to raising her children as a stay-at-home mother before becoming a small business owner in the 1990s, a role she held proudly until her retirement in 2017.
Libby was known for her infectious laughter, warm spirit, and incredible talent in the kitchen. An extraordinary cook and passionate dancer, she brought people together with her unforgettable meals and spontaneous dance parties, often to the rhythm of her beloved Motown music.
She is survived by her loving daughter Dominique Miniaci, son Alexander Miniaci, cherished granddaughter Margaux Miniaci, and her dear sisters Suzan and Mary De Luca.
A celebration of Libby's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Her warmth, resilience, and the joy she brought to those around her will be remembered always.
