Jeffrey Wicks Obituary

Predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Sonia Wicks, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rachel Chadwick Wicks, and their daughter Jane. Jeff is also survived by his sisters Regina (Timothy) Wicks-Frank and Joanna (Scott) Grenrock and a tremendous loving community of nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends.
Jeff leaves behind a strong commitment to civil rights, championing the underserved and democratic principles. His love of music began with the Beatles and was a positive outlet throughout his life as a self-taught guitarist. Passionate to the core for politics, the law, and a good argument, his voice will long be remembered.
Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY January 8, 2025 at 11AM at Temple Sinai (363 Penfield Road).for a map to Temple Sinai.

A procession will follow to White Haven Memorial Park.
The family will sit Shiva on Wednesday at Temple Sinai from 2 -4 PM and 6 – 8 PM.
The family expresses its deep appreciation to the medical team and caregivers at the Jewish Home of Rochester for providing exceptional care this past year.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jewish Home Foundation, Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York, Temple Sinai in Jeff's memory or a charity of your choice.
