Jeffrey Young Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremations Services, Inc. - Wesleyville on Mar. 20, 2026.
Jeffrey "Jeff" Young, age 70, of Erie, PA, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him. Born and raised in Erie, Jeff spent his entire life rooted in the community he loved. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and man of strong Christian faith, Jeff lived a life grounded in love, hard work, and service to others.

Jeff was the beloved husband of Janet Young, with whom he shared a life built on faith and family. He was a proud and devoted father to his three sons, Jeremy (Brittany), Joshua (Heather), and Jordan (Colleen). His greatest joy was raising his sons and watching the men they became. He felt truly blessed to be "Papa" to his five cherished grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, Casey, Sydney, and Alexis, who meant everything to him. In addition, he is survived by his two brothers, Terry (Patty) and Kenny (Carolyn); his two sisters, Sally DeVore and Susie Hunter (George); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Kathleen Young; and his brothers, Greg and Kevin.

Jeff was a hardworking and dedicated man who built a life through his craft. As the owner of Jeff Young and Sons Masonry, he took great pride in working alongside his son Josh, passing down not only his skills but also his strong work ethic and values.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Jeff found peace and happiness in nature. He loved spending time at the family's Hillhaven Hunting Camp, hunting, and enjoying the beauty of wildlife and the outdoors. He also found joy in life's simple traditions-time spent at Red's Pancakes, being with family, and attending church. His faith in God guided his life and gave him strength.

Jeff was known for his kind heart, steady presence, and strong sense of character. He could be stubborn at times, but it was that very trait that made him dependable, resilient, and someone his family could always count on. He was a beloved uncle, a loyal friend, and a constant source of support to those around him.

In his final act of selflessness, Jeff gave the gift of life as an organ donor-continuing his legacy of generosity and love even beyond his time here on earth.

Family and friends are invited to attend and honor a man who meant so much to so many at the The Summit at Erie First Assembly of God Church, 8160 Oliver Road, Erie, PA, on Monday, March 23rd, from 3 pm until the time of the Service at 6 pm. The family welcomes memorial donations, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Condolences may be sent to www.dusckasfuneralhomes.com.
