Jeffrey Zimmerman

Jeffrey Carl Zimmerman, age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday September 23rd, 2025 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born September 30th, 1959 in Madison, WI, son of Chester and Jeanette (Ratzlow) Zimmerman. He married Linda (Larson) Zimmerman on November 10th, 1984, in Sun Prairie, WI. She preceded his death on February 9th, 2014 after battling with cancer. He later remarried Lori Vande Moore at his homestead in Deerfield, WI on August 24th, 2024.

Jeff grew up on his family dairy and hog farm which he later took over. The farm was his life and passion. It is where he learned to care for animals, grew various crops, raised his three beautiful daughters, and lived his own American dream. Outside the farm, he was an active member in his community and a big sports fan. He served as the Marshall FFA treasurer during his high school days, and again for the Marshall FFA Alumni in his most recent years. His presence at community events such as FFA Euchre tournaments, Marshall’s Main Street Mania, and local sporting events never went unnoticed. He also enjoyed being a fan of and attending Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Milwaukee Bucks games. Most importantly, he supported his daughters in all their endeavors and accomplishments while growing up and into adulthood. His daughters were his pride and joy and he was always so proud to be their father.

He is survived by his wife Lori of Oconomowoc, WI; Daughters: Jenifer Zimmerman of Deerfield, WI, Zelina Zimmerman of Monroe, WI, and Emmali Zimmerman of Peoria, IL; Sister Joy Dunn of Island Lake, IL; Brothers: Duane Zimmerman of Rotonda West, FL, Dennis (Tami) Zimmerman of Marshall, WI, and Doug (Lisa) Zimmerman of Deerfield, WI. Further survivors include nieces, nephews, many cousins, other relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife Linda, parents Chester and Jeanette Zimmerman, sister Janet Jordan, brother Joe Zimmerman, sister-in-law Betty Zimmerman, and his grandparents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 8th at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church - 605 Madison Street, Marshall, WI - with Pastor Lisa Nelson officiating. Burial will be held at the Medina Cemetery in Marshall, WI following the service. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Cress Funeral Home - 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI - and from 10:00am until time of the service at the church on Wednesday, October 8th.
