Jeffury T Golden Sr

Jeffury Thomas Golden Sr., 47, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 13, 2025. He was born on February 14, 1978, in Indianapolis to the late Frieda Golden and Jeff Payne, and was also raised and guided through life by his late bonus dad, Allen Mathes.

Jeffury was an artist at heart, with a real talent for drawing and creating. He also had a deep love for music — all kinds of it — and could always find a song to match his mood. Outgoing, loyal, and full of energy, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome. You could count on him for a laugh, a story, or a shoulder when you needed one.

He loved his family fiercely and found his greatest joy in spending time with them. Cooking was one of his favorite ways to show love, and his kitchen was often filled with good food, laughter, and music in the background.

He is survived by his children, Jeffury Jr. and Damian Golden; a grandchild on the way; his siblings, Junior, Christopher, Danny, Shane, Dustin, Brooke, and Brigette Golden; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frieda Golden and Jeff Payne; his bonus dad, Allen Mathes; and his sisters, Brittany, Hope, and Amanda Golden.

Jeffury was a good man — creative, kind, and one of a kind. His laugh, his loyalty, and his love will be remembered by everyone lucky enough to know him.
