Judith Ann "Judy" Boggs (née Albrecht), 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Born on November 14, 1936, in Indianapolis to George and Alice (Louise) Albrecht, Judy lived a life rooted in compassion, service, and devotion to her family and community.
Judy dedicated 34 years of her life as a school bus driver, where she touched the lives of countless young students with her steady presence and kind heart. Her commitment to children extended beyond her career-she also volunteered at St. Mary's Early Childhood Center, working with special needs children. Whether behind the wheel or lending a helping hand in the classroom, Judy always kept a watchful eye out for children and young families in need. Her quiet acts of kindness left lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to know her.
At the heart of Judy's life was her family. She was the loving wife of Charles Boggs and a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by Charles Boggs; daughters Laurie (Tony) Lavelle and Tracy (Alan) Klemp; grandchildren Casey (Rony) Salloum, Christian Klemp, Sarah Lavelle, Allyson (Nic) Solecki, and Jason Lavelle; and great-grandchildren Remy Salloum, Nikolai Solecki, and Roland Solecki. Judy also leaves behind her brother David Albrecht and sister Rose Ann Kelly.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Evelyn (Leroy) Althoff, Dorothy (Gerald) Bradnick, Nancy (Gerald) Richter, George (Barbara) Albrecht, and Timothy Albrecht.
Judy brought warmth and love into every relationship she nurtured-whether as a sister, friend, neighbor or volunteer. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped raise and the lives she quietly uplifted.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Visitation will be held on October 23, 2025, from 04:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Oakley Hammond Funeral Home 5342 E Washington Street. A Service will be held on October 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM at Oakley Hammond Funeral Home 5342 E Washington Street. There will be a service at the funeral home followed by a processional to the gravesite. We will gather at a local restaurant afterwards.
