Mr. Jelani Bishop

Mr. Jelani LaWayne Bishop was born on September 15, 1977 in Nuernberg, Germany to Shiela Bishop and the late Larry Bishop. He departed this life on January 8, 2024.
Jelani was truly a happy and bright soul, he let his light shine wherever he went. He had a smile that would light up a room and brighten up the day. He loved talking and joking with people and making others laugh with his infectious laugh. His teachers often commented on his ability to draw people to him just like "a president" because of his genuine and charismatic personality.
Jelani was always offering his kindness, his wisdom, and his words of encouragement to others. Others who may have been down in spirit, or in trouble and needed some guidance, or someone to watch over them, or maybe they just needed someone to genuinely care. Jelani was that someone. Which is understandably why he had such a profound impact on the lives that he touched during his journey.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Bishop and a sister Teri Bishop.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Alonzo Bishop and Trinity Bishop; his mother, Shiela Bishop; four sisters, Jamila Bishop, Tanyelle Daniels (Davin), Christye Staton and Bridget Bishop; two nieces, Makayla Bishop and Chasitye Futrell; one nephew, Jaylin Bishop; a "special sister" Natasha Blount and a "special brother" Derrick Blount; a "special friend" he affectionately called "Shug" and a host of family and friends
It is the desire of the Bishop family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
