Jenetta Louise Langford, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 67, in Columbus, Mississippi. She was born on May 25, 1958, and is remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family and community.
Jenetta dedicated 15 years of her life to serve at NMMC, where she was known for her compassion and caring nature. She earned her LPN and cherished the opportunity to help others during her professional career. Outside her work, Jenetta was a woman of deep faith and strong values, living life as a very loving Christian, which resonated with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her greatest pride came from her family. Jenetta is survived by her son, Chris Langford, and his wife, Jennifer; her daughter-in-law, Jackie Langford; and her cherished grandchildren, Kensli, Rylee, Katelyn, Sydney, and Jacob, her siblings, Wayne Hinkle (Jennie), Dennis Hinkle (Margie), Trenna Hinkle Cody, Neil Hinkle (Christina), and Linda Karen (aka Penny) Hinkle Wunschel. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and revelled in watching them grow. Her loving nature was also evident in her bond with her dog, Baxter, who brought her much joy.
Jenetta was a devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated herself to raising her family. She enjoyed watching television in her downtime and took great pleasure in the little moments that brought her family together. Jenetta’s love for her family was the core of her being, and her proudest accomplishments always revolved around them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Keith Langford, two sons, Alan Lee Langford and Anthony Grant Langford, her parents, Etta Mae Hurst and Grant Hinkle, her sisters Barbara Hinkle Lane and Paulette Hinkle Nicely. Their memories will forever remain a part of her legacy.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jenetta’s life on November 14, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, both at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Interment will take place at Haughton Memorial Park at 3:00 PM.
Memorials and donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
The impact of Jenetta Louise Langford on her loved ones is profound, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
