It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jenna Alannah Garcia, who left us on September 29, 2025, at the age of 31. Born on November 30, 1993, in Pasadena, California, Jenna brought joy and love to all who knew her. She resided in Lubbock, Texas, where she was known for her compassionate spirit and her unwavering dedication.
Jenna was a devoted wife to her beloved spouse, Yovany Garcia, and a loving mother whose family was her world. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the indelible mark she left on the lives of her loved ones.
My life started with a simple line, "do you want to listen to my band"? From then on it was a whirlwind and then some. Jenna and I dated and got married within the span of less than 6 months. I can't begin to say how proud I am of that decision. We lived through all our highs and lows both financially and mentally and all of the in between. We've been through so much in the span of 11 years and still despite all that we made love work. We have 5 beautiful children. She was so proud of them and loved them like no other. They were her pride and joy. She was kind, caring, blunt, open-hearted, full of love, and just a beautiful being. I can't believe the amount of forthcoming support there is on her behalf. I hope she now understands why she was truly amazing to everyone. For my children she was a mother, a role model to live by and a friend. For me she is love and kindness and everything I hold dear. She will forever be Jenna, and she is hope.
Jenna is survived by her husband, Yovany; her father, Alexander A.; and her mother, Shannon D; and her children, Lucas, Dominic, Penelope, Eden, Aiden; and her siblings, Michael, Kai, Lailani, Sebastian. They will cherish her memory and hold her spirit close in their hearts.
In honor of Jenna's life and loving spirit, family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service that will be held at Martin Luther King SDA Church 1517 E. 25th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79404. The celebration of her life will take place on Thursday October 30, 2025 at 12:00pm, where those who knew and loved Jenna will come together to share stories, reminisce about the beautiful moments they shared, and support one another as they navigate this difficult time.
Jenna's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all. Rest in peace, dear Jenna. "She is not gone, she has simply gone ahead."
