Jennie Ann (Lobris) DiLullo, 90, of Providence, passed away suddenly with her family at her side Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Roger Williams Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Bernard "Sonny" DiLullo, Sr. They recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary.
Jennie was born on January 1, 1935, in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Katherine (Abraham) Lobris, and the sister of the late Carmella Abbood.
Jennie and Sonny built a wonderful life together. They were the owners of the General Tool and Supply Company in Attleboro, Massachusetts as they worked together to build a very successful business. They were true life partners, knowing each other from childhood and caring for each other well into their senior years. Jennie was a devoted and proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She ensured that her family enjoyed being together for Sunday dinners, holidays and every other life celebration. Her happiness was spending time with her family whenever she could. Jennie lived the true meaning of motherhood. She was a consistent supporter of her husband and children and encouraged them to be successful in whatever they took on. She was always there to lend a hand whether it be to pick up the grandchildren from school, cook a fantastic meal or plan a party for birthdays including her famous ice cream cake and baked stuffed shrimp. Although she was of Lebanese decent, her Italian cooking and baking was surpassed by none and enjoyed by all.
Jennie was very proud of her Lebanese heritage and was a consistent supporter of the St. George Maronite Catholic Church. She and her husband were honored for their dedication to the church by receiving the Massabki Brothers Award, an honor reserved for truly devoted members of the Maronite faith. Jennie sang with the church choir along with her father, worked at every fundraising event and was an active member of the church's Holy Rosary Sodality. Jennie was also active and had a keen interest in local politics as she served as a Democratic Committee Woman for Ward 5 and supported various political campaigns throughout her life.
In addition to her husband of 69 years, she leaves her three children, Bernard DiLullo, Jr. and his wife Donna, Louis DiLullo, and Janis Stufano and her husband Nicholas; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Saldana and her husband Daniel, Alexa Stufano and Christian Stufano and his wife Gabrielle; and two great grandchildren, Coraline Saldana and Nicholas Stufano.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 6, from 4pm until 7pm in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston. Her funeral will begin at 9:45am Friday, Nov. 7, at the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 11am in St. George Maronite Church, Cranston. Entombment will take place in the Mausoleum of Saints Peter and Paul at St. Ann Cemetery.
