Ann C. (Moccia) Thompson, 95, crossed the bar early Sunday morning after a long battle with dementia.
The last surviving member of the Moccia family, she joins her parents, Louis and Margaretta, her siblings John, Ernest, Theresa, Lisa, Mary, and Elena, as well as her husband of 65 years, Leo, and her son, Jeff, all of whom predeceased her. She leaves behind her son Ken (Alice) of Newport, RI, granddaughter Brianna, and daughter-in-law Cindy, both from Warwick, RI.
Born in Providence, RI, Ann was the youngest of seven siblings. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society, and a charter member and communicant of her parish, Immaculate Conception, for 60 years. She was a long-time resident in both Cranston and Hope, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation Thursday, Oct. 30, from 8:00 am until 9:30 am in the "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
