Jennie Lind Lawson, age 85, passed away June 2, 2025 at Lakebridge in Johnson City, TN. Jennie was born October 24, 1939 in Butler, TN, to the late Mae Belle Johnson Hartsoe and Sylvester Sheets. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ruby Holden; sons, Luke Holden and Mark Holden; sister, Bettie Moose and brother, Raymond Price.
Jennie enjoyed going to yard sales and enjoyed being outside, especially flower gardening and fishing. She also liked working puzzles. She was a member of Nelson Chapel Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Johnny Boyd Holden; brother, David Hartsoe and wife Mary; close friends, Carolyn Beebe and Wilma Moore; special grandbabies, Ashley Taylor, Luke Holden; several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home with Pastor Mike McNutt officiating and eulogy by David Hartsoe. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Reece Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
