Mrs. Jennie Lou Sorise, 77, went to be with The Lord on Sunday morning, April 28th, 2024, while at home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Sorise was born in McBee, a daughter of the late James Curtis & Elsie Ruth Clay Sullivan. At an early age, she learned the importance of helping others by quitting school and helping take care of her family. Jennie enjoyed shopping and would do anything for anyone. She truly had too many amazing traits to mention, but by far, her greatest trait was her love for her family.
Surviving are her children: Laura (Wade) Harris, Frankie (Wanda) Hayden, Kim (Mitch) Wright, Hope (Tim) Howle; grandchildren: Amanda Howell, Emily McDonald, Ashley Douglas, Brittany Hayden, Justin Acuff, Courtney Howle, Christian (Nicole Heitz) Howle, Brantley Wright, Jenna Tarte, Chase O’Neal, Olivia Mendoza, Leeland Wright, Brian Matthews, Cliff Matthews, Christin Matthews, Adam Matthews, Steven Howle, Michael Howle, Andrea Hayden, and Kayla Marino; great-grandchildren: Charlie McDonald, Maggie Howell, Claire Acuff, Sullivan Douglas, Elsie Douglas, Bentlee O’Neal, Emersyn Mendoza, Conlee Mendoza, Zoe Farmer, Jensen Farmer, Graham Wright, Malachi Howle, and Jenesis Howle; sisters, Joyce Grantham and Diane Griggs; special friend, Ruby Wesley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Hayden; siblings: Flora Mae Price, Shirley Broom, Margaret Ann Davis, Randolph Sullivan, Raccine Sullivan, and Jimmy Sullivan.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon, May 1st, 2024, from Pine Ridge Holiness Church. Reverend Phillip Jones will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
The family is meeting at the home of Laura & Wade Harris – 521 Amerson St. Hartsville, SC 29550.
Memorials may be made to Pine Ridge Holiness Church at 3524 W. Bobo Newsom Hwy. Hartsville, SC 29550.
