     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sandra Lynn Powers. Mrs. Powers passed away Monday evening, August 25th, 2025, at the age of 69.

     A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Sandra was a daughter of the late Frank, Sr. & Glennie Therrell Walters. Sandra will be remembered as a lady who would help anyone. If you needed to talk, she was there to lend an ear. Sandra enjoyed working on the farm, going fishing, and spending time with friends.

     Surviving is her husband, Frankie Powers; son, Jamie Lewis; siblings: Patricia Atkinson, Susan Taylor, and Wanda Freeman; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Alex Walters, Albert Walters, Vernon Walters, Shelia Hatchell, and Glenda Walters; mother-in-law, Carol Strother.

     Her funeral service will be conducted at 2 o’clock on Friday afternoon, August 29th, 2025, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home. Reverend Wayne Cash will officiate with a committal following in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
