Frances “Fran” Louise Powers, age 78, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones September 2, 2025, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab. Frances was born to the late Chester Isbel and Leola (Barnhart) Isbel-Kabler August 9, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio. Fran is preceded in death by her parents.
Fran is survived by husband, Edward Powers; children, Angie (Scott) Gault, Chet (Jackie) Hansford, Ivan (Sara) Hansford, Jessica (Brian) McReynolds; step children: Brandi Powers and Craig Powers; sister, Becky (John) Byrge; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Fran retired from Bridgestone in 2010, she enjoyed picking up bartending shifts at all the local club establishments in the Upper Sandusky area. She was a member of the Moose #1093, and former member of Amvets #777, Eagles #2184, and the Elks #83. Fran had many joys in life, her family being the biggest, but she found time in between that to tend to her garden, crafting, sewing, and always tried to be in good spirits. If you knew Fran than you knew, Fran liked beer, she loved to dance or as she would say boogie, loved listening to music, she never knew a stranger.
