Jennie Sutton Obituary

She retired from the Binghamton City School District as a secretary after 35 years. She was an avid bowler; in the Hall of Fame, 600 Club Member and over 50 years of NYS women's tournaments. She also loved traveling, Yankee Baseball and collecting light houses.
The family will receive friends from 12Noon to 1pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY. A Funeral Service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Floral Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be to Nimmonsburg United Methodist Church, Discretionary Fund, 918 Front St. Binghamton, NY 13905.

A few years after I retired, I joined a senior bowling league and had the privilege of being a teammate of Jennie. It was the beginning of a long relationship of lunches and state tournaments. Jennie was a wonderful captain and organizer. She, Muriel Dando, Laura Ford and I made a great team with Jennie outscoring us as she was a seasoned and accomplished scorer, yet she always urged us on. Bowling was her passion. We all had a great time. cheering each other on. Jennie and Brenda had a beautiful closeness, and Brenda has always been a devoted and loving daughter, paying attention to minute details that gave her Mom much delight. May all those special efforts give you peace, Brenda as your Mom now rests in Eternal Rest.
