Jennie M. Uglietta

Mrs. Jennie M. (Oliveri) Uglietta, age 101, of Peabody, formerly of Wakefield and Saugus and an active resident of Brooksby Village for the past 10 years, died on Monday, July 14th at Winchester Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dominic Uglietta.
Born and raised in Chelsea, Mrs. Uglietta was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maria (Cuccinauta) Oliveri. Jennie became a supervisor at a medical device manufacturing company where she worked with the doctor who developed the cardiac catheter and balloon. She was a skilled knitter for 90 years and enjoyed making hats for preemies and veterans as well as making baby sweaters and afghans for her family and friends. Throughout her busy life she traveled extensively, hosted parties and dinners where she cooked fabulous meals for her many friends and extended family. Baking cookies was her signature dessert, and she was sure to offer them, along with a hot cup of coffee, in a unique teacup, to any visitors that dropped by. She also enjoyed playing tennis into her late 90's and was an expert card player, loved the casinos, was a bargain hunter and dressed impeccably.
Mrs. Uglietta is survived by her two children, Charles Uglietta of Saugus and Sandra Biancardi of Methuen: six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, John Oliveri and two sisters, Ann Conti and Margaret DeMarco.
