Jennifer Ellen Bryant (aka Jenny Steel), of Golden Colorado passed away on Sept 10, 2025 at

the age of 52 after an extended illness.

Jenny was born in Stamford, CT and raised in White Plains, NY. She attended the University of

Colorado at Boulder where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She met

Frank Day, restaurateur and owner of Rock Bottom Restaurants, while working as a hostess at

the Walnut Brewery in Boulder. She proceeded to work at Frank's restaurants for the next six

years, managing the St. Croix Chop House & Brew Pub, the Denver Chop House & Brewery,

and served as the Director of Marketing & PR for the Rialto Café. Jenny then moved into

Human Resources, earned a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification, and worked

in various leadership roles at Nordstrom, Quiznos, Frontier Airlines, Smashburger, and Noodles

& Company. She then parlayed her skills in Human Resources and extensive connections in

the hospitality industry to become the Vice President of Recruiting at TalentServed, and finally a

Senior Vice President at The Elliot Group. Jenny was a remarkably successful executive

recruiter, a consummate professional, and a well-respected colleague. Her skill in finding the

right fit for candidates positively benefited numerous people's careers for the better. Her phone

strained under the burden of holding her extensive contact list. Jenny retired in 2025.

Jenny's mother, Vivian Wilkison, passed away in 1995 at the age of 52. Jenny is survived by

her father, David Wilkison, sister Laurie Wilkison, husband Matthew Stahl, and their dog Remi.

Jenny was "outdoorsy" in that she liked to drink wine on patios.

Few things made Jenny happier in life than having a dog snuggled next to her while reading a

book. She rewarded the unconditional love given by her dogs by unconditionally loving them in

return.

Having been raised in a punny household, she couldn't resist crafting a good pun. She was not

opposed to offering the occasional bad pun either. She was an equal opportunity punstress.

She was a paragon of fashion. She was exceptional at picking out gifts, a testament to her

thoughtfulness. She was always quick with a quote from Grosse Pointe Blank or Caddyshack.

She was a lovely person. She made a happy home. She will be dearly missed.

Donations in Jenny's memory may be made to the Foothills Animal Shelter by checking the

"Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone" option and entering Jennifer Bryant's

name.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering that will be held at Jenny and

Matt's home. Please see the announcement in "photos and videos" for details.
