Jennifer Lea Howard 1976-2025
Jennifer was known for her strength, passion, and generous heart. She was a community activist and a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and teacher. Jennifer L. Howard at the early age of 48 went on to angels on September 9th, 2025, in
Daytona Beach, Fl. It was a tragic accident that took Jennifer away. She will be greatly missed.
She was born in Panama City in 1976 to James and Joyce Howard, who loved her passionate heart and spirit. Jennifer was the middle child out of seven children, to her siblings she will forever be known as "Bucky." Jennifer was an advocate for the arts, her passion for the arts continued throughout her life. Her artist streak started in High School. Jennifer attended Seabreeze High School where she was a member of the theater club. She did spoken word poetry in her free time during high school. Jennifer went on to attend both Daytona State College and University of Central Florida. During her time at DSC, she was a part of the photography club and the DSC news broadcasting club. During her time at UCF, she put her love of art on the back burner and remained focused on her studies. She accumulated two degrees one in English and the other in Humanities. Throughout her life she had many careers, but her heart always belonged to the children and her community. Her biggest passions were teaching elementary students, working with the visually impaired students, and being a community advocate as a member of Neighbors United.
She was survived by her husband and love of her life, Joe, in 2011. They had an immediate connection in the beginning of their relationship they had date nights every Wednesday at Applebee's. In following years date nights, for them became watching Survivor and playing in their fantasy football league together. After their three knuckle headed children went to bed.
Jennifer and Joe could not wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. They had 3 children Jade (Kearyn) West, India Bott, and Joseph Wilson Jr and one fur baby Chewbacca Howard-Wilson. Though she loved her children and plethora of adoptive children and grandchildren. Jennifer's favorite role was that of a grandparent. Braxton treasured and loved his time with "Flower." Never failing to show his love by watering his flower every time he was with her.
Jennifer leaves behind 6 siblings: Janet (Willie) Curtis; James (Miriam) Howard III; Jamaine (Rick) Cripe; Jeffery Howard; Jillian Howard; Jessica Howard; and Chanelle Jamerson. As well as several nieces and nephews: Antwinette (Amelia) Curtis; Douglas (Esiah & Giselle) Howard; Kourtney Howard; Alice Cripe; and RJ Jamerson. And many other extended family members and way too many loving friends to count.
Jennifer will always be remembered for her strength and the passion she had for everything that she did. We will always remember hearing her say "I love you" more time. We could not have asked for a better wife, mother, sister, grandmother, friend, and educator and we will miss Jennifer every day. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
