Jennifer Worley Hughes

Jennifer Rene' Hughes age 37 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 

She was born on March 12, 1987 in Somerset, Kentucky to Rick Worley and Janet (Thompson) Worley.  

Jennifer is preceded in death by a preterm infant son, Winston Stephens who gained his angel wings on July 5, 2024; her grandparents, Morris & Dorthy (VonLinger) Thompson and Wilda (Taylor) Worley; uncles, Tony Worley and Al Smiddy; and an aunt, Sue Thompson.

Surviving family include her parents, Rick and Janet Worley; her children, Freya Hughes, Merceigh Hughes, Iris Hughes, and Axle Stephens; her boyfriend, Aaron Stephens; her brother, Joshua Worley and wife, Shae; niece, Madison Worley and nephew, Kyson Worley; her grandfather, Coy Worley; her soul-sister and best friend, Bryanna Smart; and father of her daughters, Oscar Hughes.

Also surviving are uncles, Mark Thompson, Johnny Thompson (and Amanda), and Michael Worley; aunts, Linda Worley Boyatt (and Curtis), Robin Thompson Malone (and Wayne), Debbie Worley (and Benny), and Tammy Worley Smiddy; special cousins, Kristen Malone Minda, Jason Malone; and a special cousin who is raising Jennifer's girls, Jessica Worley.

Jennifer was a graduate of McCreary Central High School, class of 2005. She was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family and friends. Jennifer also enjoyed making crafts with her daughter. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but thankfully by her confession of faith as well as her acceptance and love of Jesus, we will meet her again in Heaven some sweet day.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Charlie Stephens Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 1:00 pm until service time. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the funeral home to assist with remaining funeral expenses. Contributions can be made on our website, in person, mail, or by calling 606-354-9100.
