On September 14, 2025, the world lost a beacon of love, creativity, and intelligence, Jennifer Kroft. Born Jennifer Sue Savage on August 8, 1981, in Scottsville, KY, Jennifer spent her life pouring her heart and soul into her family, her church, and her students.
Jennifer was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a dedicated schoolteacher, instilling not just knowledge, but also a love of learning in her students. Jennifer's creativity shone brightly in her hobbies, which included baking, crocheting, and arts and crafts. Jennifer also had a fondness for collecting salt and pepper shakers and Peanuts memorabilia, a testament to her playful and endearing spirit. Outside of her personal hobbies, Jennifer was a devoted member of the Solid Rock Church in Elwood, where she touched many young lives as a Sunday School teacher.
Jennifer's heart was always with her family, who meant more to her than anything else in the world. She is survived by her loving husband, James Kroft, with whom she shared a beautiful life since their union on October 10, 2010. Jennifer also leaves behind her son, Randall Kroft; stepsons Aden and Seth (Brittany) Kroft; son Michael (Chloe) Craig; and niece and nephew Nicole and Joseph Savage. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren: Sienna and Jordan Craig, and Hope Kroft. She is also remembered by her brother Jeff (Rachel) Savage. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Jeffery Savage and Sherry Bennett, and her grandparents, Hoy Carter and Linda Martin.
Although Jennifer's physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the loving memories and lasting impacts she made on those around her. We invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Jennifer on the memorial page, to help us celebrate her remarkable life and the joy she brought to us all.
Dunnichay Funeral Home has been entrusted with Jennifer's cremation arrangements.
