Jennifer Ashley "Jenny" Miller

Jennifer Ashley Miller, known affectionately as Jenny, passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 81 in Renton, Washington. Born on March 9, 1944, in Liverpool, England, Jenny grew up to become a cherished screenwriter and producer, leaving an indelible mark on the film industry with acclaimed works such as "SpaceCamp" (1986), "Fatal Lessons: The Good Teacher" (2004), "Family Pictures" (1993), "Lucky Day" (1991), and "Paper Dolls" (1984).

Jenny's personality was a vibrant tapestry of stubbornness, strength, and magic. She possessed an extraordinary ability to see the good in everyone, often extending kindness to those less fortunate. Before dementia dimmed her bright spirit, Jenny was the life of any gathering, enchanting all with her singing, dancing, and infectious laughter. A self-proclaimed vegetarian with a cheeky penchant for bacon, her humor and wit were as delightful as they were sharp.

Her personal life was rich with love and relationships. Jenny leaves behind a loving family: her sister Joan Roberts, daughter Jonna Sargent, son Steven Talmy, granddaughters Shay Berg and Julie Talmy, niece Joy Roberts, niece Judy Hackett, and nephew Peter Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jane and Sydney Cowper.

Beyond her career, Jenny enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including reading, solving puzzles, walking in parks, birdwatching, and savoring delicious food. These simple pleasures brought great joy to her life and those around her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25, 2025, at 1:00 pm, honoring Jenny's remarkable journey. The family welcomes donations to any animal sanctuary in memory of Jenny's love for animals.

Bonney Watson Funeral Home in SeaTac, Washington, is assisting the family during this time. Jenny's legacy will be remembered as one of laughter, creativity, and boundless kindness.
