Jennifer Lynn Keppler Seidl was born March 4, 1976, in Champaign, Illinois, to Daryl and Myrna Keppler, two days after their eighth wedding anniversary. She joined older brother Jeremy, her childhood protector.
Jenn was an Air Force brat. The family moved much in her childhood and lived in Illinois, North Dakota, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Virginia and California where she settled for about 10 years.
Jenn started school while living in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She was a smart girl and adventurous reader. One time in kindergarten, the assignment was to bring something that represented a letter of the alphabet. For "G" week, she brought her maternal Grandma and Grandpa Kelley, who just happened to be visiting.
Jenn attended school from the 2nd to 8th grade to while living in Albuquerque. It was there that she joined Girl Scouts. She also began oboe lessons.
The family moved to Virginia when Jenn was 13. As a freshman at Marshall High School, she participated in many extracurricular activities, including marching band and school plays. For a time, she played the bass clarinet, oboe, and flute in the marching band. Her acting talent shone as she participated in "Hello Dolly."
Jenn finished high school in California at Edwards High School. She stayed in California for about 10 years after her family moved back to Albuquerque. She worked during high school at fast food restaurants, Olan Mills Photography Studio, and at Norma's Bar.
Jennifer moved to Virginia and got a job with Siemens who transferred her to Auburn Hills, Michigan. After several years there, she found employment with AM General in 2009. She met Steve Keeney on August 9, 2012, and his family quickly became the focus of her life. She attended music recitals, gymnastic competitions, softball and soccer games, and swimming, tennis, and track meets. She was always cheering for the kids.
Her other focus was dog rescue. During a very active period in her life, she rescued upwards of 100 dogs and found furr-ever homes for 62 of them. Her passion for helping dogs led her to create Bully's Angels to organize her efforts. Her own home was always filled with dogs, and she leaves behind Slim Shady, Summer and Traxx in the loving care of Steve and his family.
Jennifer passed away on May 25, 2023, leaving behind her parents, Daryl and Myrna Keppler, fiancé Steve Keeney, and his children Jenna, Joshua, and James; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends and co-workers who loved her.
