Phyllis was born March 30, 1941, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Eleanor and John Palazzolo.
Phyllis was a devoted wife of 58 years to her husband, Michael. She was the mother of three girls, grandmother of eight, great grandmother of eight. She was an accomplished special ed teacher of 30 years, achieving her masters degree in the process all while raising three daughters. She will be fondly remembered by friends and family for her unwavering Catholic faith, her generosity, kindness, consideration and strength. We will forever remember her love for her favorite dish, spatheni and making and sharing cannoli's with everyone. The unique gifts, crafts and projects that made the holidays special and left us with lasting memories. She also never forgot to send a card for any special occasion for anyone that she loved.
Family is the link to our past and the bridge to our future. We are honored to carry on our parents legacy!
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Michael. She is the beloved mother of Gwen, Patricia McDonald (David) and Kristin Briggs (Ronald); cherished grandmother of Ryan, Rachel, Stephanie, Samantha (Mitchel), Michael (Mariah), Collin (Maria), Corinne (Nathan) and Ronnie; dearest great grandmother of Nolan, Charlotte, Lacey, Henry, Everly, Benjamin, Max, Teddy and the her ninth great grandchild due in March of 2026. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her only brother, Farrell.
A funeral Mass celebrating Phyllis' life will be held Thursday, October 2, 11 am, St Gerald Catholic Church, 21300 Farmington Rd, Farmington. The Dombe family will receive family and friends beginning at 10 am.
Immediately following Mass, Phyllis will be taken to her final resting place, to be with her husband, at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown, MI. A luncheon will follow the services at the cemetery.
