Jennifer T. Spencer

Jennifer "Jenni" Spencer, 62, of Franklin Township passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital of New Brunswick.
Jenni was born in Dallas, Texas and worked as a third-grade teacher at Brooks Crossing Elementary School in South Brunswick, NJ at the time of her passing. She was universally loved and admired for her dedication, kindness, and passion by all of her coworkers and students.
Jenni was known for her contagious laugh, magnificent smile, adventurous nature, warm heart, selfless spirit, sincerity, fierce protective nature, and her love for children, animals and the environment. She was the most wonderful, caring, and committed mother, grandmother, and wife one could wish for. She was a proudly accomplished triathlete and could always be counted on to proudly perform her goofy dance moves for the joy of all.
Jenni was married to her husband of 39 years Doug at Trinity Episcopal Church in Princeton, NJ in 1985, and gave birth to her 3 daughters Caitlin, Emily, and Madeleine in 1988, 1991, and 1994 respectively.
Jenni is predeceased by her father Edward Arnar Twerdahl III and survived by her loving husband Doug Spencer, three daughters Caitlin Spencer, Emily Spencer, Madeleine Spencer, mother Sylvia Bjornberg Twerdahl Temmer, sister and brother-in-law Juliana and Anthony Mastroserio, brother and sister-in-law Edward and Liza Twerdahl IV, and four grandchildren Roman, Sophia, Isabella, and Christina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on January 20th, 2025 at Trinity Church, 33 Mercer Street, Princeton, NJ 08540. A celebration of life with light refreshments will be held at Pierce Hall in Trinity Church after the service; all are welcome.
