Jennifer Lynn Wege, 53, of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away on August 17, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice House in Manhattan.
She was born on January 23, 1972, at the Annapolis Naval Hospital in Annapolis, Maryland, the daughter of Robert and Bernharde Hambruch. Her family later moved to Kansas, where she attended schools in Junction City and graduated with the Junction City High School Class of 1990.
After high school, Jennifer attended American InterContinental University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration.
On May 4, 2002, she was united in marriage to Jarrod Wege in Milford, Kansas. They were blessed with four children: Ashley Dancy, Jarrod Wege Jr., Jenna Wege, and James Wege. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Kennedy Ingram, and Violet Dancy; and her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Hambruch Jr. and Steve Hambruch.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernharde (Korczynski) Boone; her father, Robert Hambruch Sr.; and her brother, James "Jimmy" Hambruch.
Jennifer loved caring for animals and owned and operated MHK Pet Sitter in Manhattan. She also enjoyed kayaking, gardening, crafting, poetry, and, most of all, being a mother.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel in Manhattan. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter and sent in care of Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
