Jequitta Claudette Platt, affectionately known as Jackie, was born on December 14, 1941, in Ryan, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas, leaving a profound legacy built on love, faith, and community.

Jackie dedicated many years of her life to the Nocona Boot Company and Luby's Cafe, where she was known not only for her work ethic but for her warm spirit and kindness toward others. A devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she was a faithful Christian who cherished her relationship with God. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she made sure to pray for strength and guidance daily, embracing the teachings of her faith with unwavering devotion. Jackie was also a former member of the Henrietta Cowboy Church, where she shared her love of God with others.

She enjoyed reading the Bible and good books, engaging with crossword puzzles, and taking pride in her appearance - always looking her very best. Jackie radiated warmth and love, traits that resonated deeply within her family and friends alike. She leaves behind a legacy characterized by love, strength, and grace.

Jackie is survived by her loving daughter, Jennie Abbott and James Allen Platt along with her eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren who will all remember her nurturing spirit and loving guidance. She is also survived by her five sisters: Mary King (and husband Tim), Linda Kay Stephens, Alta Hernandez (and husband Noe), Tresa Hernandez (and husband Thomas), and Ann Esquibel (and husband Ray); along with her two brothers, Ronnie Stephens (and wife Diane) and Dennis Stephens (and wife Kay); close friends Kenneta Rice and Scott Rice; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who were fortunate to know her.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy Allen Platt; her parents, Loyd Raymond Stephens and Marion Eula Stephens; her sons, Raymond, Robert, Steven, and James Blevins; her daughter, Carol Dancy; her great-great-grandson, Rowdy Pennington; her brothers, Kenneth and Phil Stephens; and her sister, Nelda Tumlinson.

A visitation to celebrate Jackie's life will be held on August 9, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Scott-Morris Chapel located at 212 East Oak Street, Nocona, TX 76255.

Jackie's life was a testament to the power of love and faith, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
