Jerald J. Anding Sr.,81, of Avoca, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born at home on Hickory Flat, Muscoda, on September 17, 1943, the son of Elward and Frieda (Marshall) Anding. Jerry attended Muscoda High School and started and operated Anding Stainless Steel Welding and Machining for over 40 years. He worked at Cardinal Project Center and ASAP Heating and Cooling with his sons, Jerry and Bruce and grandsons, Trevor and Tate.
On August 1, 1964, he married Sharon Reeve in the Lone Rock Congregational Church. Jerry loved music and enjoyed traveling with his family to Nashville and Branson. Jerry shared the love of music with his family, especially with his grandchildren Benjamin and Emma. He liked to fabricate and engineer a wide variety of machinery and equipment. Most of all Jerry loved his children and grandchildren.
Jerald is survived by three children: Jerry Jr. (Melissa) Anding of Spring Green, Jennie (Kris) Bloedow of Muscoda, Bruce (Tracy) Anding of Spring Green; four grandchildren: Ben Bloedow, Trevor Anding, Tate Anding, and Emma Anding; sister-in-law: Millie (Dean) Tschudy of Janesville; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends: Larry Anding and family, Ronald Sturdevant, Fred Weichbrod, Cheryl Heffner and family, David Armbruster and family.
Jerald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, sisters Pat Harris, Linda Jean Anding, and infant brother Daniel Anding.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at the Pratt Funeral Home, Muscoda, from 10:00 AM until the time of service 12:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
