Mr. Jeremiah Lee “Percy” Lumpkin, 51, of Mauk, GA, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Oakland Baptist Church with Rev. Larry DeLoach, Mr. Richard McCorkle, Mr. Jamie Penencello, and Mr. Billy Jo Waller officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Clifford Waller, Brent Waller, Roy Waller, Chris Waller, Billy Waller, and Alex Smith. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 6:00-8:00PM.
Mr. Lumpkin was born April 22, 1972, in Florida, to Herman and Joetta Lumpkin. He was employed with the Marion County School System. A polite, gentle, and very loving man, he was the best husband, father, uncle, son-in-law, and friend. He enjoyed helping other people and always put others first. Mr. Lumpkin was a hard worker. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Fuller of Mauk, GA; two sons, Joseph Lumpkin (Haley) of Demorest, GA, and Wesley Lumpkin of Ball Park, GA; by two daughters, Daisy Garren (Tristan) of Beaufort, SC, and Amber Smith (Alex) of Panama City, FL; his sister, Shawna Tucker (Joe) of Manchester, GA; and five grandchildren, Grayson Lumpkin, Bentley Lumpkin, Stormy Smith, River Smith, and Joetta Garren. Several nieces and nephews and a long list of loving family also survive.
