Jeremy K. Barnett was born on June 13, 1974 to Myrna Kragel and Harold Barnett.
Jeremy was a true golf enthusiast with an entrepreneurial spirit that led him to own and operate a golf course and nightclub during his healthy years. He was a graduate of Sidney High School and attended the University of Nebraska. He faced an unfortunate traumatic brain injury 11 years ago that brought challenges to every aspect of his life. However, Jeremy exhibited resilience and an unwavering passion for life. He tackled health struggles with determination, always seeking medical treatment and exploring avenues for recovery.
Jeremy navigated through relationships with the same tenacity he displayed on the golf course, maintaining lifelong friendships that were a testament to his enduring spirit. Despite injury related legal battles and financial hurdles, he never gave up and found enthusiasm in developing future business plans.
A lifetime resident of Nebraska, Jeremy embraced the local community and left an indelible mark. In the realms of sports and music, he found joy and inspiration.
Jeremy is survived by his loving mother, Myrna Kragel of Wheatland, WY; brother Curtis (Zhanna) Barnett of Homosassa, FL; sister Sandra Rice of Wheatland, WY; sister-in-law Kelly Barnett of Charlottesville, VA, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Harold Barnett; brother, Patrick Barnett; grandparents Gus Kragel, Clara Kragel and Lovey Emmons.
In this time of reflection, let us remember Jeremy for his resilience, passion, and the ability to find hope even in the face of adversity. May his legacy live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
