Jeremy Clayton Brokaw

Jeremy Clayton Brokaw, 44, of Rising Sun, IN, (formerly of Green Hills, OH) passed away on Friday, July 21st, 2017 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. Jeremy was born in Covington, KY on December 23, 1972, a son of Kathryn (Zimmer) and Carlton Brokaw, of Green Hills, OH. He was a graduate of Winton Woods High School, Class of 1992. Jeremy also attended the University of Cincinnati. Jeremy loved nature and being outside. This passion led him to be owner of Green Day Landscaping & Lawn Care, along with the Windy Hill Garden Center. Jeremy also enjoyed teaching the game of soccer to kids. He was a former SAY soccer coach in Ohio County and also coached indoor soccer in Cleves, OH. On October 4th, 1997 he married Angela (Cauble) Brokaw. This union was blessed with three sons: Nicholas, Zachary and Nathan Brokaw, all of Rising Sun, IN. In addition to his loving wife and sons, Jeremy is survived by his parents, Carlton & Kathryn Brokaw of Green Hills, OH; by his sister Melanie Hermes and husband Paul of Green Hills, OH, by his grandmother Bess Zimmer of Cincinnati, OH; by niece Michaela Hermes of Green Hills, OH; by father and mother-in-law Woodrow & Barbara Cauble of Fairfield, OH; by sister-in-law Christy Cauble & Dave Ali of Seattle, WA; also by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, particularly Paul Zimmer. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday, July 29th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating. Friends are invited to call Saturday 11 AM -1 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Aberdeen, IN.
