Jeremy Davenport Obituary
Born in Chowan County on June 3, 1983, Jeremy was the son of Marshall Dwight "Marty" and Sonia Wilson Davenport of Hertford. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James R. "Jimmy" and Marjorie White Davenport, and maternal grandfather, Larry Sidney Sheldon.
A graduate of Perquimans County High School, during his school years he had been active with the hunter safety and drama teams, marching band, and played football. Self-employed, he mostly provided electrical and plumbing services.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his son, Marshall Davenport of Hertford; his daughter, Madison Davenport of Clayton; a brother, James Davenport (wife, Candace, and their daughter, MacKenzie Davenport) of Hertford; maternal grandmother, Mary Wilson Sheldon of Hertford; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, at 3:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by his cousin, the Rev. Keith Wood. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the service. A private burial will be in Cedarwood Cemetery.

Hey Sonia, l'm so sorry for your loss. I wish there was something l could do to ease your pain. The only thing I can say is I'll be here for you, if you need me. I don't have your phone number so l can't call you, but l just wanted you to know I Love You. I will ALWAYS be here for you. If you need me, I'm just a phone call away. If you're ever in Elizabeth City give me a call. Maybe we could have lunch together or something.
