With broken hearts but grateful spirits, we celebrate the life of Jeremy Paul Denison, who passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
Jeremy was born on May 23, 1995, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Jeremy graced this world with 30 beautiful years of courage, laughter, and unwavering love. He is survived by his loving caregiver and mother, Christine Diane Way, his father, Donald Denison.
Besides his parents, Jeremy is survived by his sisters, Samantha "Sam" Denison and Ashley Denison; aunts, Mary Way (Herman "Dandy" McDaniel), Patricia Stephenson (Jason) and Charlene Way; cousins, Brittany Fleming, Alex Way, Jason Stephenson, Jr. and Weston Way.
Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Way, Sr. and Johanna Way and his uncle Paul Way, Jr.
Born with cerebral palsy, Jeremy faced challenges from day one-but never once let them define or limit him. He lived life with incredible determination, intelligence, and heart. To know Jeremy was to know true resilience and joy. He had a natural gift for making others smile and lighting up any room he entered. Jeremy earned an associate degree, a reflection of his sharp mind and relentless drive. He was a devoted fan of all things sports, especially his Atlanta Braves, Carolina Panthers, and Carolina Hurricanes. Whether he was watching a game, sharing stats, or simply enjoying the thrill of competition, sports brought him joy and connection with those he loved. Jeremy was happiest in the presence of family and friends. His love for conversation, his easy laughter, and his genuine care for others made him a cherished son, a loyal friend, and an inspiration to everyone around him.
Jeremy lived more fully in 30 years than many do in a lifetime. He taught us how to live with grace, love without limits, and find joy in even the smallest victories. His journey here has ended, but his light will never fade.
There will be a celebration of Jeremy's life on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 11:00am at Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory, Spring Lake.
