Jeremy Todd Foster, age 35, of Marion, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 5, 2024 at his home in Marion, Illinois, following an accident.
Jeremy was born June 05, 1989 in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of Dawn Michelle (Rumsey) "Shellie" Caulk. He married the love of his life, Kristina Lee "Kristy" (Dawson) Foster on November 10, 2012 in West Frankfort, IL.
Survivors include his wife- Kristina "Kristy" Foster of Marion, mother- Dawn Michelle "Shellie" Caulk of Marion, father- Chuck Foster of Herrin, step-father - Ricky Wayne Kennedy, granny- Jean Rumsey (Terry Stinnett) of Marion, grandpa- Cecil "Robert" Rumsey of Marion, father-in-law and mother-in-law- Jeff and Melinda (Roe) Dawson of Billings, Montana, two brothers- Joshua Matthew Short of Marion and Jacob Isaiah (Daisy) Kennedy of Marion, one sister- Brooke Marjorie Jean Kennedy of Marion, one brother-in-law- Nick Dawson of West Frankfort, two nephews- Weston and Ridge Kennedy, aunt- Sherri Wiegand of Marion, uncle- Robert Eugene (Sharon) Rumsey of Zeigler, and several cousins. Jeremy was a proud "dog dad" who cherished his beloved dogs- Roxie, Dixie, and Freya. He also leaves behind a host of many friends.
A man of few words, Jeremy was loved by many and will be dearly missed. His strength and legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Jeremy was an avid hunter and loved participating in goose and duck calling competitions; he also placed in many. He had a very strong love for life and never let anything stop him from accomplishing what he wanted to do.
Jeremy worked in law enforcement and corrections. He enjoyed going to work and trying to make a difference to help others. Most recently he turned to truck driving. He loved traveling and seeing new places; even though it kept him away from home. He loved being a member of the "Left Lane Gang".
Visitation will be Thursday, September 12th, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Blue Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.
