Ronald "Ronnie" A. Ollis, age 81, of Marion, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 5:21 p.m. in Deaconess Illinois Medical Center in Marion.

He was born on June 5, 1944 in rural Marion, IL, to William Lester and Evalena (Parrish) Ollis.

Ronnie was a graduate of Marion High School in the Class of 1964.

He married Bonnie J. Moss on October 15, 1966 in Marion and together they shared over fifty-one years of marriage until she preceded him in death on April 17, 2018.

Ronnie worked in the bottling plant for Pepsi in Marion for his entire working career. After over thirty-five years of service to Pepsi, he retired.

Ronnie was a lifelong member of Marion First Apostolic Church, where he actively worked in the church for many years. He also enjoyed singing with his wife, Bonnie.

He is survived by his brother, Joe D. (Gwen) Ollis of Creal Springs, IL; sister-in-law, Verna M. Patterson of Goreville, IL; nephew, Bruce Bryant; niece, Tracey (Adrian) Walker; and many nieces and nephews from his wife, Bonnie's side.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmos and Girtha Ollis and Gus and Esta Parrish; his parents, Bill and Evalena Ollis; his beloved wife, Bonnie J. Ollis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Bobby Wolaver; and brother-in-law, Bill Patterson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL.

The visitation will be at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Following the time of visitation on Tuesday, the funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joel Gray presiding.

Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion.

For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to "Marion First Apostolic Church." Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.
